We're Shipping Xasthur Now, Plus New Afterlives Record On The Way

No Fun. Not Ever.

We’re Shipping Xasthur Now, Plus New Afterlives Record On The Way

If  you pre-ordered Xasthur and are wondering where it is, not to worry – we’re packing as quickly as possible and getting them out the door.

Meanwhile, Will from Afterlives noted online that he is working on a follow up to A Ticking Clock I Couldn’t Stop, his incredible, now-sold-out debut. Enthusiastic members of the Last.FM community contributed potential album covers, which are too hilarious not to post here.

If you never got to hear A Ticking Clock I Couldn’t Stop, you can stream the whole thing on Last.FM.

By the way, please make more of these. This shit blew my mind.

XASTHUR Vinyl Is Finally Here!

Xasthur - "Defective Epitaph" vinyl!

XASTHUR’S Defective Epitaph has finally arrived on vinyl. Orders will start shipping out ASAP.

It was quite the ordeal getting these things here. If you’d like to read more about it, and see some photos of the original unboxing, check out the post I did over at my personal blog. Blood is involved. It’s metal.

XASTHUR Pre-Orders Are Up.

Xasthur - Defective Epitaph Vinyl

Pre-Orders are up for XASTHUR’s Defective Epitaph. Double Vinyl, high-quality old-style gatefold packaging, brand new artwork designed by Aaron Turner of Isis and Hydra Head RecordsOnly 600 available. Personally, we peg this record as being one of the most important American black metal releases of all time – the definitive statement from one of the genre’s defining artists.

To sweeten the deal a bit, all those who pre-order will receive an exclusive preview of Mamaleek’s Kurdaitcha before it is released. This is a black metal release that we think is on par with anythign we’ve heard the last few years – it’s a moving, powerful, and nuanced addition to the genre. Check out a couple songs to see what I mean.

A quick bit on pre-orders: some people ask why we do pre-orders at all. The bottom line is that it helps us cover costs – while our funds are depleted by printing vinyl and so on, pre-orders provide a temporary influx of cash we use to restock shirts, other releases, etc. It also gives us a sense of demand – if we sold, say, 500 copies in a day, we’d probably print more to meet demand. They also give those who are particularly dedicated a chance to get copies of limited releases first -  a way to show our appreciation to the people that closely follow and support what we do.

And we’re back.

Back from vacation! Up next: Xasthur Vinyl manufacturing and promo, getting the Mamaleek vinyl release set up, and finishing the elusive Giles Corey album and book. Watch for more news and such about all those projects soon.

In the meantime, here’s Last.fm group member ThisDesRe being totally awesome:

ENEMIES LIST Is On Vacation!

After many long months of slaving away in front of a hot computer, ENEMIES LIST is taking a break.

It’s only 4 days. However, if you need to get in touch with us, feel free to drop us a line via the contact page. We’ll get back to you as soon as we get back.

In the meantime, though? No Internet, Not Ever. That’s right: I’m going completely internet-free. Disconnecting, as it were. Hopefully this will let me get a bunch of reading done, as well as get my head in the right place to come back and finish the Giles Corey record, as well as get the Xasthur and Mamaleek vinyl releases out to the world.

See you in a few days.
