Just a quick note to say that ELHR orders are temporarily delayed. Connecticut got hit by a pretty brutal winter storm that froze power lines, toppled trees seemingly everywhere, and generally created havoc.

We currently have no power, heat, or running water. That means I can’t ship orders or check email (except for right now, since I’m at a college campus that somehow has power).

We’re still taking orders, and everyone’s stuff will go out as soon as humanly possible.

Hey everyone,

By popular demand we have finally re-pressed HAVE A NICE LIFE’S debut double-album, “Deathconsciousness,” on vinyl. 500 copies for those who never got the chance to own this record in physical format. Pre-orders went up tonight, so if you’re interested, grab one asap. They won’t last long.

When you’re checking out the store, you may notice some changes. That’s because we’re switching to a new pricing and shipping system.

From now on, all shipping within the U.S. is free, and international shipping should be reduced. The downside? Prices are slightly higher across the board.

Why the change? Shipping costs are getting progressively higher as the price of oil rises. People were getting understandably upset about ordering a 10$ t-shirt and paying 5$ for shipping. At the same time, our old system, which was based on inaccurate weight data and old USPS shipping rates, would drastically undercharge some customers, while overcharging others.

This system spreads shipping costs between all orders more evenly, and should work out to being a better deal for almost everyone. We’ve also started limiting our shipping costs and have started using a new system which gets us discounts on shipping.

The end result? Hopefully better service and lower overall costs.

Please, if you think the system is not charging you correctly, let me know. I’m sure there will be bugs, and we only find out about them through customers.

First off, here’s the big news: ENEMIES LIST has announced our newest artist, the incredible Dweller on the Threshold. Ex-death to tyrants, daniel striped tiger, and the toll, recorded by will killingsworth (ampere, orchid, bucketful of teeth, etc), rotating line-up of 8 friends from all over the East Coast, impeccably crafted and achingly beautiful Americana-tinged gloom. Trust me, this band is absolutely amazing. Head over to their artist page to check out the two sample songs we have streaming, and look for a record late this year.

Secondly, Giles Corey will be playing a show tomorrow in Atlantic City, NJ. If you are around, you should come down and check it out.
